Team Nigeria concluded the Paris 2024 Olympics without securing any medals, despite competing in 12 events with 88 athletes. The team, known for its continental success, was unable to replicate its performance on the Olympic stage.
Notable athletes like Favour Ofili in athletics and Blessing Oborududu in wrestling delivered strong performances but fell short of medal expectations.
Meanwhile, several athletes of Nigerian descent contributed significantly to the success of other nations, representing countries such as Germany, Bahrain, the United States, France, Great Britain, and Spain.
Some of these athletes won Gold, Silver and Bronze in sports such as hammer throw, football, basketball etc.
