The Presidency has clarified that President Bola Tinubu remains fully engaged in governance despite being away from Nigeria for nearly two weeks. In a statement issued Thursday by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the presidency confirmed that Tinubu, currently in London after a stop in Paris, continues to direct the affairs of state remotely.
According to Onanuga, the President is in constant communication with key officials and has issued directives to security chiefs to tackle emerging threats in parts of the country.
The statement, titled "Statement On President Tinubu’s Return To Nigeria," assures the public that governance remains uninterrupted.
The President is expected to return to Abuja on Monday, April 21, after the conclusion of the Easter holidays. The presidency urged Nigerians to remain calm, reaffirming Tinubu’s unwavering commitment to leadership and national stability during his brief absence.
