The All Progressives Congress (APC) has unveiled the nomination and administrative fees for aspirants contesting in the upcoming July 12 Local Government Election in Lagos State.
According to election guidelines released on Tuesday and signed by APC Chairman Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi and Secretary Dr. Adeola Jokomba, chairmanship aspirants will pay a nomination fee of ₦5 million and an administrative fee of ₦500,000. Female aspirants will receive a 50% discount, paying ₦2.5 million in nomination fees. In addition, candidates under 40 years of age will enjoy a 50% discount on nomination fees but must still pay the full administrative fee.
The APC noted that the initiative is aimed at encouraging youth and female participation in local governance while maintaining a fair process ahead of the Lagos local elections.
