In response to the ongoing fuel scarcity plaguing Nigeria, Hon Olatunbosun Oyintiloye, a prominent member of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), has called on President Bola Tinubu to take immediate action.

Oyintiloye emphasized the need for the President's intervention in purchasing and distributing petrol, citing the severe hardships Nigerians endure nearly every month due to the persistent shortages.

He urged the government to address the issue promptly to alleviate the populace's suffering.

The APC chieftain while speaking with newsmen on Sunday in Osogbo, said that Nigerians had hoped scarcity of fuel had ended after subsidy on the product was removed by the Federal Government.

Oyintiloye, however, said that rather than for the situation to be improved, the fuel situation had become worse off, with Nigerians passing through untold hardship to get the product at a very high price.

He appealed to the president to beam a searchlight into the activities of Nigerian Nigeria National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) to unravel the root cause of the persistent fuel scarcity.
