As part of a strategic cabinet reshuffle, President Bola Tinubu has appointed Bianca Ojukwu as the new Minister of State for Foreign Affairs.

The announcement was made on Wednesday, signaling efforts to reinvigorate his administration and strengthen Nigeria's foreign policy engagements.

The reshuffle reflects Tinubu's aim to enhance governance and address key challenges as the administration continues to navigate the country's economic and diplomatic landscape.



 Bianca Olivia Odinakachukwu Ojukwu is a Nigerian politician, diplomat, lawyer, and businesswoman who has made a significant impact in various fields.

Born on August 5, 1967, in Nnewi North, Anambra, she comes from a prominent family. Her father, Christian Onoh, was a former governor of Anambra State, and her mother, Carol, was a college principal.

Bianca attended prestigious schools in Nigeria and abroad, including Queen’s High School, Enugu, Ackworth School, England, and Cambridge Tutorial College. She pursued a degree in Law from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, and later obtained a master’s degree in International Relations and Diplomacy from Universidad Alfonso X El Sabio, Madrid, Spain.

Bianca has had an illustrious diplomatic career, serving as Nigeria’s Ambassador to Spain from 2012 to 2015 and as the country’s Permanent Representative to the UNWTO. She has also held key positions in various national committees, including the Contact Mobilisation and Dialogue Committee and the Anambra State Truth, Justice, and Peace Commission.
