The Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN) has expressed readiness to support the federal government in expanding Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) infrastructure across the country.

IPMAN President has called on members to invest in CNG refill stations to boost Nigeria's energy transition efforts.

This appeal comes after a recent agreement between IPMAN and Dangote Refinery for the direct lifting of petrol, highlighting the association's commitment to diversifying energy options and supporting cleaner fuel alternatives.

Filling station owners have been urged to commence the installation of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) pumps at their filling stations across the country.

Abubakar Shettima, the National President of the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN), made the appeal, noting that oil marketers are fully in support of President Tinubu's CNG initiative.

According to Shettima, the move aims to increase Nigerians' access to CNG as an alternative fuel source to petrol.
