The United Bank for Africa (UBA) is set to commence full banking operations in France, signaling a significant step in fostering stronger business relations between Nigeria and France.

The agreement was finalized during President Bola Tinubu’s state visit to France, where he met with President Emmanuel Macron.

The move aligns with efforts to deepen bilateral economic ties, as more Nigerian banks prepare to establish a presence in the French market.



United Bank for Africa (UBA) has officially signed an agreement to begin full banking operations in France. The agreement was signed in the presence of Nigerian President Bola Tinubu and French President Emmanuel Macron during President Tinubu’s ongoing state visit to France. 

Guardian reports that the chairman of UBA Group, Tony Elumelu, expressed optimism about the partnership at the signing, emphasizing UBA’s commitment to delivering seamless international banking services.
