The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has commended the Republic of Türkiye for its ongoing diplomatic initiatives aimed at resolving the Sudan crisis.
In a statement, the UAE highlighted the importance of Sudan’s stability as a top priority and underscored Türkiye’s steadfast commitment to fostering peace in the region.
These efforts, according to the UAE, also contribute significantly to strengthening international relations.
The UAE affirmed its full readiness to cooperate and coordinate with Turkish efforts and other diplomatic initiatives to end the conflict in Sudan and find a comprehensive solution to the crisis.
In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reaffirmed the UAE’s steadfast position on the crisis, stressing that its primary focus remains on achieving an immediate ceasefire, halting hostilities between the Rapid Support Forces and the Sudanese Armed Forces, and addressing the catastrophic humanitarian crisis through the provision of urgent relief aid to the brotherly Sudanese people.
Working with all relevant parties
The Ministry emphasized that the UAE is actively working with all relevant parties, regional partners, and the international community to find a peaceful solution to the crisis. This includes efforts to de-escalate the conflict, secure a ceasefire, and initiate intra-Sudanese dialogue involving all political factions and warring parties to fulfill the Sudanese people's aspirations for development, security, and prosperity.
