In a bid to enhance technology development in Niger State, Governor Umaru Bago has allocated a piece of land to the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) for the establishment of its regional office in Minna, the state capital.
According to a statement by his spokesperson, Bologi Ibrahim, on Wednesday, Governor Bago presented the Certificate of Occupancy to NITDA's Director General, Kashifu Inuwa, during a ceremony in Abuja.
The move underscores the administration's commitment to fostering technological advancement and innovation in the state
“Farmer Umaru Bago who re-echoed the significance of Information Technology to the overall growth and development of any society said his administration is keen on keeping pace with technological advancement in line with global best practices,” Ibrahim said.
“He said, the creation of the state’s Ministry of Communication Technology and Digital Economy is in tandem with his desire in advancing the technological landscape of Niger.
NITDA DG Inuwa appreciated Bago’s efforts aimed at promoting the growth and development of the agency in Nigeria.
