President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has returned to Abuja after participating in the Africa Heads of State Energy Summit held in Dar-es-Salaam, Tanzania.
The President arrived at the Presidential Wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport at approximately 7:40 pm on Tuesday and was welcomed by senior government officials.
The summit focused on addressing critical energy challenges and fostering sustainable development across the continent.
Tinubu’s participation underscores Nigeria’s commitment to regional collaboration and advancing energy solutions for economic growth. His return marks the conclusion of a significant diplomatic engagement aimed at strengthening Africa’s energy sector.
Among those who were at the airport to receive the President was his Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila; National Security Adviser (NSA), Nuhu Ribadu; Minister of State for Defense, Bello Matawale and his Senior Special Assistant on Political and other Matters, Kabiru Masari among others.
While in Dar-es-Salam, President Tinubu joined other eleven African Heads of State and Government to adopt the Dar-es-Salaam Declaration, which is focused on providing access to electricity for 300 million people in Africa by 2030.
