Former Governor of Kaduna State, Malam Nasiru Ahmad El-Rufai, has criticized the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) for deviating from its founding principles.
Speaking in a recent interview, El-Rufai lamented that individuals who worked tirelessly to bring the APC to power have been sidelined, while key appointments and political positions are awarded to what he described as “Lagos boys.”
He alleged that “justice has been kept at bay” and that governance under the party has become commercialized, with decisions seemingly influenced by financial incentives.
“Everyone is working for themselves, looking for money. The government is commercialized, everything has a price tag,” El-Rufai stated, expressing his discontent with the current state of affairs within the APC.
His remarks have sparked fresh discussions about internal party politics, favoritism, and power distribution within the ruling party.
