In a major stride toward boosting regional connectivity and international trade, Nigeria and Brazil have agreed to review their existing Bilateral Air Services Agreement (BASA), paving the way for direct flight operations between the two countries.
Mr. Tunde Moshood, Special Adviser on Media and Communications to Nigeria’s Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, disclosed this development.
The BASA review forms part of Keyamo's ongoing official visit to Brazil, where he is scheduled to meet with Brazil’s Minister of Ports and Airports, Sílvio Costa Filho, for high-level discussions. According to Moshood, this initiative aligns with President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, aiming to enhance global air connectivity, deepen economic relations, and open new frontiers for trade between Nigeria and South America.
